a captivating novel inspired by actual people in history in that era in time....

The first Spanish language book I read was, Don Quijote, and there is nothing I can say about that book that has not already been said; but I was a little sad when i finished my first book. I wasnot sure I would find something of that caliber to read after discovering the beauty of spanish literature, and then to my good fortune I stumbled on this one....and I could not be more pleased. I loved it! The author is a historical author so this is clearly a labor of love, having to do all the research required to set the stage required true dedication. Now i'm thinking i will. Need to go visit Barcelona, and see the one small portion. Of one of the buildings that is still left in the city that was constructed during this time period, in the early 1000 a. d., as there is mention of its location at the end of the book. I don't tire of good love stories and this author does an excellent job at telling this one.

Que gran libro, el principio es dificil por el vocabulario y por la manera de escribirlo, pero una vez que te acostumbras es un libro facil, no muy rapido pero lo suficiente y con buenas ideas!

Este libro me ha fascinado de principio a fin. Está lleno de aventuras, drama, intrigas...muy entretenido. Y a la vez nos hace ver como podría ser la vida en la Barcelona del siglo XI.
