This is an extensive collection of sometimes hard to get and expensive primary materials. The coverage is broader than the title suggests and this volume is an excellent choice for anyone interested in the late nineteenth wars on the western plains.

So much info in this book, almost 900 pages ...

So much info in this book, almost 900 pages, reported indian battles during the "indian war years", really gives you a sense of what went on inthose decades. I find it fascinating still working on it, probably finish it in a few days. this book is more than the Little Big Horn Battle, it is a chronological compilation of events between the American Indian tribes, and the western movement of a nation in its infancy.

I found this book very informative, a very good reference book for refrence only, no story line. I would recomend this book for those looking for much more detail than can be covered in a story line book.
