Great resource for emergency preparedness

This book is a very comprehensive resource for preparing to survive earthquakes and other disasters. I liked that the authors explained what to do and when and then gave fully comprehensible and reasonable explanations WHY. Sometimes just knowing WHY helps keep the brain active and aware enough to reason out other solutions.
The checklists are detailed and easy to follow. The action items are easy to do and can be made into a fun activity for families with children.
This book covered everything from getting prepared to shutting off gas, water and power to picking up the pieces and recovery.
All in all, this is a pretty complete resource for Emergency Preparedness and Survival, and highly recommended.

Definitely Could be a Life Saver

This book is very well written and written by someone that has been in this situation. It is very well laid out and easy to understand, from inspecting household hazards to what to do if you are/were involved in an earthquake. I also learned that where I live is not one of the most popular areas for earthquakes but nonetheless it still could happen and now i will know how to be prepared for it. It also includes very important resources for the proper agencies to contact if you have been involved in an earthquake as well as excellent information on emergency preparedness.
This book could definitely save your life one day and practicing the simple steps laid out will not take much time and could be well worth it.

If you live in an area prone to earthquakes, or other disasters, you will want to read this and keep it handy. Just in case. Training is always the key to survival, knowing what to do in preparation, as well as during and after the actual event.
